The heated political nexus in Punjab may have ruffled many tongues, but on Wednesday, the Congress drama expects a stellar spread as one of the main characters, Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, will be the chef for just one day. Will wear a hat
Patiala Shahi has promised to cook for Olympic medalists from Punjab – and India’s only gold medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Neeraj Chopra. The captain will host the players at his farmhouse in Mohali, Mohinder Bagh.
The menu will leave many mouth-watering. From Patiala dishes to lamb, chicken, pulao and zarda rice, the spread is a royal feast, as expected from the Maharaja of Patiala.
From Patiala Recipes to Pulao, Lamb, Chicken, Potato and Jarda Rice, CM @capt_amarinder Punjab will prepare each of these dishes himself to fulfill his promise to the Olympic medalists (and Neeraj Chopra) that he is hosting dinner for them tomorrow! The Punjab chief minister has also invited some former hockey players and MLA Pargat Singh for the dinner, though newly appointed PCC chief Navjot Sidhu, according to sources, is not on the guest list.
Political observers say it will be interesting to see if Pargat attends the event. The CM has of late met the legislators in groups, which many believe were an attempt to thwart any revolt against him.
Apart from Neeraj Chopra, around 30-40 Olympians from Punjab are expected to be present in the dinner. Captain Amarinder is known for his superb culinary skills and many of his colleagues in the party vouch for his specialties including ‘Dal-Bukhara’.
