‘What Is Being Done Against Goldy Brar?’: Sidhu Moose Wala’s Father Asks Bhagwant Mann Govt, Demands CBI Probe

ChandigarhBalkaur Singh, father of late Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moose Wala, protested outside the Punjab Assembly on Tuesday, demanding a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into his son’s murder. Talking to reporters outside the Punjab Assembly, Singh said that no investigation was being done in his favor. He said, “In the last 10 months, I went to the police and administration several times.

I was assured. But what is happening here is being done to cover the murder of my child with a carpet. Nothing is going in my favor. That’s why I had to come to the assembly. Will sit here till the session lasts.

It (probe) is not being affected but being terminated. Where is the investigation going on? There is anger among the people but why is our government not listening?” Singh asked the government about the action taken against gangster Goldie Brar. , They’re just henchmen.

They took the money and shot him. The mastermind, who targeted my son…what action is being taken against Goldie Brar?” Singh alleged that she threatened and said she would be killed before April 25. “What wrong am I doing? ? Should I not fight my son’s case? I was threatened on 18th, 24th and 27th that I will be killed before 25th April… I want to tell the government to withdraw my security, I will continue to fight.”

Sidhu Musewala, 28, was shot dead in Mansa on May 29 last year, a day after the state government scaled down his security. The Punjabi singer was shot at point blank range and was declared brought dead on being taken to Mansa Civil Hospital.

The assailants fired more than 30 rounds at Moosewala, who was found lying on the driver’s seat by the locals. The investigation suggested that Lawrence Bishnoi was the mastermind of the daylight murder. His close aide Goldie Brar, who is said to be based in Canada, was also under investigation in the matter. The police had issued a Red Corner Notice against Brar through Interpol.

The incident took place two days after the Punjab Police withdrew the security of 424 people, including that of Moosewala. Musewala had contested the last assembly election from Mansa on a Congress ticket, but lost to AAP’s Vijay Singla. On 23 November, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested Bishnoi in a case related to an alleged conspiracy to recruit youths to carry out terror attacks in Delhi and other parts of the country.
