What are AI-powered robots doing in Mecca’s Grand Mosque?

New Delhi: With the help of Articificial Intelligence, a unique “guided robot” has been intoduced in the grounds of the Grand Mosque that will assist pilgrims Umrah performers, reported Gulf News.

The robot has been introduced to provide seamless support to human. The new system also facilitate fatwa activities through instructions.

The AI robot understands many languages and provide simultaneous translations and communicate with experts to help answer questions remotely. It provides services in 11 languages, including Arabic, English, French, Russian and Chinese.

To enhance the experience of pilgrims, there is a 21-inch touch screen on the robot that serves facilities when visiting the Grand Mosque.

One of the unique things of the robot is that it has been designed in a way to monitor movement inside the Grand Mosque. Along with that, the special system has four wheels and intelligent parking system that enables pilgrims of quick and convenient navigation.

It also has front and bottom cameras having high resolution that allow the system to shoot details of the environment.

To ensure seamless communication, the robot features enhanced audio components such as clear-sounding speakers and high-quality microphones. Operating on a high-speed 5GHz Wi-Fi network, the robot also enables fast and efficient data transmission.
