Western Disturbances: The India Meteorological Department informed on Saturday that there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in the Himalayan region due to Western Disturbance. Along with this, a rise in temperature can be seen in Punjab, Haryana and other states including Delhi. However, the IMD also suggested that there may be drizzle over northern parts of Punjab and Jammu.

Weather Forecast for Western Himalayan Region

India Meteorological Department scientist RK Jenamani said on Saturday that due to western disturbance, some rain and snowfall is expected in the western Himalayan regions on February 28 and March 1, 2023. Besides this, he said, northern parts of Punjab and Jammu would receive more drizzling rain.

Drizzle may occur in northern parts of Punjab and Jammu

Due to Western Disturbance in Western Himalayan regions, there will be some rain and snow on February 28 and March 1. Drizzle may occur over northern parts of Punjab and Jammu. The temperature will increase by 2-3 degrees over Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi during the next 3 days,’ said RK Jenamani.
