West Indies to tour Pakistan for white-ball series in December

Pakistan Cricket The Board (PCB) on Thursday confirmed that West Indies will play three T20 Internationals and as many ODIs in Karachi from December 13 to 22. This will be the first tour of Pakistan for the Caribbean team since April 2018, when they played three T20Is, although most of the key players were ruled out of the tour.

“After missing home internationals in September and October, the tour of West Indies will mark the formal start of an exciting and entertaining season of men’s international cricket in Pakistan with the Pakistan Super League 2022 and Australia’s first full series,” PCB chairman Ramiz said. The king said.

“I hope the NCOC will support this series by allowing as many crowds as possible so that fans can watch their favorite players and both sides in live action.”

The confirmation by the West Indies board will come as a relief to the PCB as New Zealand were abruptly withdrawn from the white-ball series in September after they returned home without playing a match.

The England and Wales Cricket Board also opted out of a short tour of Pakistan. West Indies will play an ODI in Pakistan for the first time since December 2006.

The ODIs are part of Pakistan’s fourth series in the Super League, in which the top seven sides and hosts India will directly qualify for the ICC Men’s World Cup 2023. The remaining two sides will advance from the qualifying event.
