The administrative officials decided to help Raju with his livelihood.
As per the reports of Local 18, Raju Das, the owner of the place had been illegally running the shop for the past ten years.
We regularly hear news of the administration’s intervention on anything illegal, carried out by the citizens, no matter their circumstance. Such a tragedy occurred in the Birbhum district of West Bengal, which left the shop of an innocent man to ashes.
As per the reports of Local 18, Raju Das, the shop owner, had been illegally running the shop for the past ten years. The land belonged to the government, located in front of a girls’ school, in the Bolpur. So, the administration took the extreme step of demolishing the shop, as per their protocol.
More reports state that a video of Raju’s daughters, all teary-eyed because of the incident, went viral on social media. One of the girls, a student in the second grade, can be heard telling his father, “Stealing is not a good thing.” Not only did the video make rounds among the netizens, but it reportedly also reached the desks of the administrative officials.
So, it is now being reported, that the officials are thinking of a way to help Raju and come up with a plan for some other means of livelihood for him. The administration had ordered to evict those, who had settled on government land or were involved in illegal construction. So, a demolition was carried out in the area.
Raju Das’ two daughters, one in class 2 and the other in class 5, sat in front of their father’s shop with uncontrollable tears, not understanding what just happened. Their father had been running this telebhaja shop for a long time. He became a witness to his place being demolished, something on which his whole household depended.
The video captured by the Local18 team, shows the man expressing his frustration to the media. While his daughters are visibly devastated by the scene in front of them, crying uncontrollably.
