The Government of West Bengal has celebrated ‘Khela Hobe Day’ today under the leadership of Chief Minister. Mamata Banerjee. TMC ministers, leaders and MPs organized the program at various places.
Under the direction of the top TMC leadership, every MLA organized programs on ‘Khela Hobe Divas’ in their respective areas. Various sports competitions, cultural programs and sports equipment distribution programs were also organized.
Kolkata South MP Mala Roy celebrated ‘Khela Hobe Divas’ with leaders and workers in Bhawanipur Assembly Constituency. Similarly, West Bengal Transport Minister Firhad Hakim carried out the program in several wards of his assembly constituency Kolkata Port.
Addressing the TMC’s annual Martyrs’ Day rally on July 21, Mamata Banerjee announced that the government would observe ‘Khela Hobe Divas’ on August 16 every year.
Several programs were held in the Chief Minister’s assembly constituency on the occasion of ‘Khela Hobe Diwas’. The biggest event was held in Harish Park in his ward no. 73. In the afternoon a match was played between Kalighat Milan Sangh and former Indian Star XI.
Former Trinamool MP Kunal Ghosh played football at Taki Boys School Ground on the occasion of Khela Hobe Divas.
State Industries Minister Partha Chatterjee celebrated Khela Hobe Diwas in his constituency Behala West. He handed over sports equipment to various clubs at Shanti Sangha Club, Behala, Behala.
The State Trinamool Chhatra Parishad celebrated ‘Khela Hobe Divas’ at East Calcutta District Sports Federation Ground in Beleghata Subhash Sarovar. A one-day football competition was also organized at the same ground with 12 TMC cells. Former footballer Gautam Sarkar and student council president Trinankur Bhattacharya inaugurated the competition.
