BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari alleges attack on the convoy by TMC supporters; complaint filed

West Bengal BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari’s lawyer lodged a complaint at Marishda police station on Monday, stating that around 70 TMC supporters attacked the officer’s convoy. The complaint also said that the supporters abused the BJP leader and threatened to kill him. The officers were going from Contai to Kolkata.

Meanwhile, criticizing the Trinamool Congress over the alleged violence in Tripura, Bharatiya Janata Party MP Locket Chatterjee on Monday said that the BJP believes in “Vikas Hobe” rather than “played by violence”.

“For TMC workers Khela Hobe means more than 60 workers die, i.e. more than one lakh workers became unemployed, women gang raped, women tortured… this is the definition of Khela Hobe. If it is The definition of Khela Hobe is Bengal, so we will not allow this to happen in Tripura at all. There is victory and defeat in politics, but there is no place for hooliganism.’

TMC MLAs on Monday staged a protest in the national capital accusing the Tripura Police of violence.
