Experts said that with schools, theaters and even religious places reopening from this week, some steps need to be taken to keep the numbers under control. However, the corporation said that there is nothing to worry as the volumes were much lower than expected.
“We were expecting a third wave in the first week of October, but by then the vaccination campaign has nullified its impact. The volume of cases is not as high as we expected. Nevertheless, we are focusing on aggressive vaccination of residents to thwart any spike in cases,” said Dr. Ubale.
