Coming back to cricket, team India Reached Christchurch on Monday to take part in the third ODI against New Zealand. The last ODI will be played at Hagley Oval on Wednesday.

The Indian team is currently trailing 1-0 in the ODI series and it has not been a fruitful performance for Chahal so far. The Indian spinner failed to pick up a wicket in the opening encounter after conceding 67 runs in his 10 overs. Dhawan, on the other hand, played a crucial 72 off 77 balls to take India to an impressive score of 306. Shreyas Iyer emerged as his team’s top scorer with 80.

However, the total proved insufficient in the end as the hosts comfortably reached the target with 17 balls to spare, New Zealand wicket-keeper Tom Latham scoring a match-winning century to secure a much-needed victory for his side.

The second ODI between India and New Zealand had to be abandoned due to rain. And now the Men in Blue will aim to win the third ODI to level the series. Earlier, India won the T20 series against New Zealand.
