The video of the incident has gone viral. In the viral video, a man named Dean Schneider was seen cuddling with a hyena. The hyena keeps her head on the lap of a man for care and love. Dean Scheider says that he missed interacting with Hyenas and is extremely happy to have found one after so long. As he was away for long, Dean Schenieder notices a difference in the height of the hyena and says, “She has got big isn’t she?”
The big jaws of the hyena were seen in the video. Looking dangerous at first, the hyena falls on Dean Schneider while licking him. The heartwarming video was posted on the social media platform X (formerly called Twitter) under the account Nature Is Amazing. “Dean Schneider, a wildlife fan, became friends with a hyena,” wrote another user. The video has gone viral.
The viewers appreciated Dean Schneider’s communication skills with animals. Some posted videos of wildlife conservationists taming wild predators including lions and hyenas. “Dean Schneider is built different. He’s friends with lions too,” commented one of the users.
According to the African Wildlife Foundation, hyenas are Africa’s most common carnivores. There are three species of hyenas – brown, striped, and spotted. The one in the video is a spotted hyena, which grows to the largest sizes.
