Virat Kohli has proven his humility time and again with his warm gestures towards fans. He has already etched his name in the history books of cricket, thanks to his on-field achievements. He also rules in the hearts of many Indians, who admire him not only for his feats but also for his down-to-earth nature.

Recently, one such fan fulfilled his dream by getting his painting signed by Kohli.

A video featuring the heartwarming moment surfaced on social media and in no timewent viral. In the clip, Kohli was captured sitting in the team bus. When he looked outside, the talismanic batter spotted a fan standing with a painted poster in his hands and trying to catch the attention of his idol. The person wanted to meet Kohli and show him the artwork.

As soon as Virat Kohli realised his wish, he asked the fan to wait a bit. The former India skipper then told one of the support staff to bring the poster to the team bus. Kohli then had a close look at the painting and gave his autograph on it.

A video of the incident was shared on X (formerly Twitter), along with a caption, that read, “He said ‘Wait’ and then asked the security staff to get the painting and gave his autograph. The way Virat Kohli respects his fans.”

Virat Kohli did not have a memorable outing in the first Test against Bangladesh as he was dismissed by Hasan Mahmud for six runs. Kohli faced six balls in the first innings of the Test series opener against the Asian opponents in Chennai. He was a key member of the Indian squad that won the T20I World Cup in June, defeating the Proteas in Barbados in the final.

Following the historic T20 World Cup triumph, Virat Kohli announced his retirement from the shortest format of the game. He returned to action during the ODI leg of the Sri Lanka tour. He then jetted off to London to spend time with his family. Upon coming back to India, Kohli joined the Indian squad ahead of the Test series against Bangladesh.
