New Delhi: A viral video in which a soldier can be seen standing amidst heavy snowfall in the valley guarding the country is winning the hearts of netizens. Public Relations Office (PRO) Udhampur, Ministry of Defense posted the video on its official Twitter account on Friday, which garnered huge appreciation and appreciation from the netizens.
The tweet also quoted famous lines from Rudyard Kipling’s poem. The video is an example of how soldiers continue their work even in these adverse weather conditions to defend the country.

Jammu and Kashmir has received heavy snowfall this year and an orange alert has been issued for the region due to inclement weather.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also warned of an avalanche in sensitive areas in the Valley and said inclement weather is likely to affect surface as well as air transport on Saturday.
The Valley received heavy snowfall this week in the upland areas and tourist places of Gulmarg, Sonmarg, Pahalgam, northern and southern parts of Kashmir. According to the IMD, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will see heavy rain and snow on Saturday as a Western Disturbance is very active over that region.
The Srinagar airport said flights were delayed due to poor visibility due to rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Meteorological Department said on Saturday morning that snowfall and rain activities will reduce in the state from evening and will see significant improvement from Sunday. The Srinagar-Leh highway passing through the Joji-La pass was closed for civilian vehicular movement on Thursday till further orders, due to incessant snowfall and inclement weather, informed the Ladakh administration.
Bad weather has significantly affected flight operations in the Valley, many of which are either delayed or canceled in the last two days.
