Watch: US sanctions Russian banks, Putin’s daughters after Buka massacre

In response to reports of mass killings by the Russian military in Bucha, Ukraine, the United States on Wednesday targeted Russian banks and the elite with a new round of sanctions that banned Americans from investing in Russia. The new sanctions hit Russia’s Sberbank, which accounts for a third of Russia’s total banking assets, and AlphaBank, the country’s fourth-largest financial institution. The US is also imposing sanctions on the two daughters of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the wife and daughter of Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and senior members of Russia’s Security Council.
