Tamil filmmaker Pa Ranjith is busy these days with his upcoming film Nachathiram Nagargirthu. The makers recently unveiled the first teaser of the most awaited film of the year. All the characters have been introduced in the 2-minute teaser and it has been named ‘The Stars of Nachtiram Nagargiradhu’. The film will showcase the politics behind love and will also explore themes beyond gender stereotypes.
Nachathiram Nagargirathu, touted as a romantic drama, has Kalidas Jayaram and Dasara Vijayan as the lead pair. It is known that Dussehra will play the role of Rene in the film. Meanwhile, Kalairasan Harikrishnan and Sarpatta Parambrai fame Shabir Kallarakkal will be seen playing pivotal roles.

The shooting of the film was completed in January and is now in the final stages of post-production. The audience is very excited about the film. The film is expected to release this year but the date is yet to be confirmed.
Talking about the vagabond filmmaker, Pa Ranjith has finalized his next project with Vikram. The film, titled Chiyan 61, will mark the 23rd production of Gyanvel Raja’s Studio Green. The shooting of the film is expected to go on floors next month.
Pa Ranjith’s latest outing Sarpatta Parambrai emerged as a blockbuster hit and after this, fans of the director are having high hopes from Nachathiram Nagargirathu.
The popular filmmaker made his directorial debut in the Tamil film industry in 2012 with the romantic comedy Attakathi. He has directed several commercially successful films including Madras, Kabali and Kaala.
