An AC coach was completely gutted in this fire.
A major fire broke out in the pantry coach of Gandhidham-Puri Express in Nandurbar, Maharashtra on Saturday morning. The accident happened first from Nandurbar station and as soon as the train reached the station, the passengers present there were shocked to see it. As soon as the train reached the station, the passengers in it jumped out of the train to save their lives.
There are no reports of anyone being injured or dead so far. The cause of the fire is also not clear yet. Due to the plume of flames and smoke, some passengers in the compartments adjacent to the pantry coach had difficulty in breathing.

Issuing an official statement, Western Railway said that the fire broke out in the pantry coach of 12993 Gandhidham-Puri Express at 10.35 am on Saturday. The train was reaching Nandurbar station when the accident took place. The fire in the train was doused with fire extinguishers installed at the station.
Meanwhile, the fire brigade department was also informed about this. The local fire brigade team reached the platform at 11 am and the work of extinguishing the fire started. The pantry car was separated from other coaches as soon as the fire broke out and a major accident was averted in time. The pantry car was number thirteenth in the 22-coach train.
After the fire, the entire train has been evacuated and the work of extinguishing the fire is on.
The speed of the train was slow as it was near the station. So the motorman stopped him on the spot. Fire tenders reached the spot and started extinguishing the fire. At present, the work of extinguishing the fire is going on and all the passengers have been safely removed from the train.
The fire was brought under control after about an hour of effort.
