Shah Rukh had been away from the media since the beginning of this month, when Aryan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau in an alleged drugs case.

Shah Rukh Khan’s jail visit comes on a day when the Maharashtra government has relaxed prison travel rules amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier, no outsider was allowed to meet the prisoners in the jail. The rules now say that two family members can visit a prisoner. Earlier, Shah Rukh and his wife Gauri Khan had a video call with Aryan last week.
