Riteish and Genelia tied the knot in 2012 and welcomed their first son Riaan in 2014 and Rahyl in 2016.

Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi, is being celebrated nationwide with great devotion and zest. Bollywood celebrities are also taking part in the festivities with lots of enthusiasm. Following his family ritual, this year also actor Riteish Deshmukh welcomed an Eco-friendly Ganpati at his residence and prayed for the well-being of his family and loved ones. On Monday, the actor took to his social media handle and posted a heartwarming video featuring himself and both his sons Riaan and Rahyl making the idols of Lord Ganesha with eco-friendly materials.

As the clip begins, the actor is seen teaching his sons, along with his niece and nephews, the process of crafting these eco-friendly idols from scratch. Everyone made their idols of Lord Ganpati by using mud clay and paint.

At the end of the video, the entire family could be seen performing aarti at their residence along with Genelia D’Souza and carrying out Ganpati visarjan in a tub filled with water.

Sharing the adorable clip on Instagram, the Housefull actor wrote in the caption, “Ganpati Bappa Morya. Deshmukh household ritual of making Eco-friendly Ganeshas at home and a respectful visarjan. Kids made their own Bappa and each Bappa was special.”

As soon as he dropped the video, the comment section was flooded with reactions from fans and celebs alike. Singer Shreya Ghoshal commented, “Absolutely adorable. Sweetest way of celebrations.” Tahira Kashyap wrote, “Too Adorable.” An Instagram user wrote, “Wow. Loved it. Ganpati Bappa Morya.”

Ganesh Chaturthi marks the birth of Lord Ganesha and is celebrated all around India with immense devotion and zeal. This year, the 10-day-long festival began on September 7 and will conclude on September 17.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Riteish was recently seen in the crime drama film Visfot with Fardeen Khan. Directed by Kookie Gulati and backed by Sanjay Gupta, known for his films like Shootout At Wadala and Shootout At Lokhandwala, the film premiered on the OTT platform JioCinema.

He will be next seen in Housefull 5 alongside Akshay Kumar.

Apart from this, he is also looking forward to the re-release of his debut film, Tujhe Meri Kasam opposite his wife Genelia. Helmed by Vijaya Bhaskar, the film is set to re-release on September 13.
