Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin recreate a funny Bollywood Visuals after the spinner duo shared the Player of the Series award for the recently concluded Border Gavaskar Trophy. In an Instagram reel shared by Ashwin, the spin twins can be seen enacting the two popular characters from Akshay Kumar’s 2005 hit ‘Deewane Huye Pagal’ inside the Indian dressing room after the Ahmedabad Test.

Making it more special, he brought a taste of the Oscar-winning song “Naatu Naatu” at the end of the video.

As soon as the video surfaced on the internet, users were awestruck to see their favorite players in bizarre roles.

A fan commented, ‘Ashwin and Jaddu sharing wickets in BGT home series.’

Another fan took a dig at Australia’s struggle against the spinner pair, saying, “Men after beating the No.1 Test team.”

Apart from fans, some Indian cricketers also commented on the post.

All-rounder Hardik Pandya and batsman Suryakumar Yadav reacted with laughing emojis, while former head coach Ravi Shastri dubbed them a “deadly combo”.

Former fielding coach R Sridhar also praised the acting skills of the all-rounders.

Ashwin’s wife Prithvi Narayan quipped, “Please dance.”

Jadeja and Ashwin have been crucial to India’s domestic dominance in Test cricket.

Both were at the top of their game in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which saw the hosts win the four-Test series 2–1, with the last match ending in a draw.

Ashwin finished the series as the highest wicket-taker, with 25 wickets from four matches, while Jadeja took a total of 22 wickets.

Jadeja also batted well, scoring 135 runs in four matches including a half-century in the opening Test. Ashwin, on the other hand, played some brief but impressive innings as he scored a total of 86 runs.

India are now gearing up for the three-match ODI series against Australia, which will see a few limited-overs specialists including Hardik return to the national colours. The first ODI is to be held in Mumbai on March 17.
