Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 has been plagued by injury concerns for almost every franchise and the story of Lucknow Super Giants is no different. On Monday evening, captain KL Rahul got injured while fielding against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. He was moaning in pain and fell to the ground.
A day before the encounter, veteran fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat slipped while bowling in the nets and injured his shoulder. The nature of his injury is yet to be known but the bowler looked in a lot of trouble after getting up.

The IPL on Monday shared a video on its official social media handle, which showed how Unadkat got injured. The right-arm fast bowler was bowling in the nets when his left leg got caught in the rope holding up the nets. While physios were applying an ice pack to his left shoulder, he fell on his elbow and found his hand trapped in a sling.

Unadkat’s injury has raised questions over his availability for the World Test Championship which begins a week after the start of IPL 2023. NCA visit in Bengaluru. It has also been learned that the shoulder continues to hurt but there is no dislocation.
Talking about Rahul’s injury, LSG got hurt while saving the boundary on the last ball of the second over. Faf du Plessis punches the ball through covers from Marcus Stoinis and it reaches the fence. Rahul follows it up before pulling it in front of the boundary cushion. He could not save four runs but injured himself and had to leave the field limping.
