In Tokyo Olympics In 2020, Neeraj Chopra created history by winning the country’s first gold medal in javelin throw with a massive throw of 87.58m. The 23-year-old thrower from Haryana became the second Indian after Abhinav Bindra to win an individual gold medal for the country in the history of the Olympics. Social media flooded in for the gold medalist from all citizens including politicians, actors and other big personalities. The Athletics Federation of India has decided to observe August 7 as ‘National Javelin Throwing Day’. There is no doubt that the spear has become a nation’s obsession these days and for all good reasons.
Rakhi Sawant, the entertainment queen of the film and TV industry, celebrated Neeraj’s victory in her unique style. Celebrity shutterbugs often spot the actress in grocery stores or outside gyms and shoot weird, quirky videos with her. A photographer shared a video of Rakhi on 9 August, in which she was seen imitating Neeraj’s javelin throw. Dressed in a gym outfit, T-shirt and workout pants, Rakhi took a wooden stick and tried to throw it.

Her acting left people and the audience in splits. While chatting with the paparazzi, she asked, “Kya bhala feka na (how good the javelin throw was).” Overwhelmed by the feat achieved by Neeraj, Rakhi said, “Jai Ho, Jai Hind.”

Many of his fans called him a “pure heart”, while one of them wrote, “It’s a whole world in itself.” Some mocked his attempt to throw the javelin and commented, “He is up for the next 2024 Paris Olympics.”
On the work front, Rakhi was last seen in Bigg Boss 14. In the show, she entered as a challenger and became one of the finalists of the show. In the final, she walked out with a cash prize of Rs 14 lakh. Recently Rakhi was featured in a music video titled Tere Dream Main.
