Flood videos often surface on the internet and show how the disaster has wreaked havoc on the lives of civilians.

In many parts of the world, constant rainfall has been recorded, due to which there have been reports of floods. Such is the case, that there are videos online which show that water has flowed in a house and disrupted the lives of civilians. Such natural disasters have become quite frequent in recent years. A video has surfaced online in which flood water has entered a house. But that’s not the surprising part. Along with the water, it flowed in fishes and frogs. When the camera panned outside, there was almost calf-deep water.

Generally, flood videos often surface on the internet and show how the disaster has wreaked havoc on the lives of civilians. Now, recently, a video was shared in which water has entered the house and fishes and frogs can be seen swimming around. The clip was shared by Felipe Mattos. Assumingly, the clip is from Brazil, where recently heavy rains caused rivers to overflow and flooding. When Felipe panned the camera to show the outside view, no land could be visible around his house. It was all covered in water, even the outside gate seemed to have submerged in the floods.

The caption read, “Aquarium? What’s that good for?” As serious as the situation seemed, the internet found it humorous the way the aquatic animals swam around the house. One user wrote, “They were swimming as if they were owning the place.” Another commented, “The frog killed me. I hope the damage is not so bad.” One concerned social media user joked and called his house now a “wildlife refuge” and also wrote, “…hope everything is going to be okay.” The viral clip has received about 6.6 million views on the internet.

Felipe Mattos is a resident of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. In May, heavy rains were reported in the State of Rio Grande do Sul. Rivers overflowed and reportedly left 136 people dead and 756 injured and affected about two million people. The United Nations experts and the Brazilian Government have linked this disaster to climate change and the El Nino weather phenomenon.

About 92,000 homes were damaged or destroyed in these floods. Porte Alegre was affected by heavy rains as well.
