Recalling some of his past funny moments from the earlier matches, netizens said that Pant has a “vibe”, while some also appreciated the bond between the two captains.

In a thrilling match, RCB won by 7 wickets. Batting first, DC had scored 164 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw got off to a good start with 43 (35) and 48 (31) each. But the middle order could not carry forward this exercise. In the end, it was Shimron Hetmyer’s 29 (22) who took his side to a defendable total. RCB were in a difficult position after Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal lost two crucial wickets in the powerplay.

AB de Villiers hit some boundaries but could not hold the fort for long. Now, two power hit batsmen Sreekar Bharat and Glenn Maxwell were still at the crease and expectations were high. Luckily, both played a dream innings and it was not that easy. DC managed to make a comeback in the last two overs as they conceded minimum runs, leaving RCB with 6 runs needed off the last ball, which went wide. Hence, Avesh Khan had to bowl an extra ball, and Bharat made sure he hits it for a stellar six.

The first qualifier between DC and Chennai Super Kings will be played in Dubai on October 10, while RCB and KKR will clash in the Eliminator Round on October 11.
