It all started on a tremendous note for young Yashasvi Jaiswal at the highest level as the 21-year-old prodigy continued to pick up where he left off in domestic cricket. IPL, Coming off a sensational season, Jaiswal has been selected for India in Tests and T20Is and the left-handed opener overcame a nervous start to play a fine innings against the West Indies in the first game in Dominica.
Jaiswal opened his account on the 16th ball as he was clearly nervous but the captain helped him a lot Rohit Sharma On the other end, Joe kept talking to the budding artiste. After playing 15 dots, Jaiswal eventually hit a four, before slowly settling his innings on the opening day of the first Test. Jaiswal was alert and played on the merits of the ball, but when the hit was due, he didn’t miss his chance.
Jaiswal was unbeaten on 40 at stumps on the first day, before scoring the remaining 10 runs on the second morning of the Test match. Both the Indian openers were a bit cautious, however, with Jaiswal bringing up his fifty first as he kept his positive options open. Jaiswal was overjoyed to get his first milestone in international cricket and the entire dressing room went berserk.
Coach Rahul Dravid gave a standing ovation Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja And KS Bharat appreciated Jaiswal’s innings.
