Pre-orders for the iPhone 16 models are set to start tomorrow, September 13.

Apple recently held a major event at its Cupertino headquarters, unveiling new models including the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. With pre-orders for the iPhone 16 models set to start tomorrow, September 13, at 5:30 PM, a video has surfaced showing long lines of eager customers waiting for the opening of Apple’s first retail store in Malaysia. Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s new Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) business district, the store is generating significant buzz.

In the video, hundreds of people queue for their first visit to Apple The Exchange TRX. “This is the line for the Apple The Exchange TRX. Doors opening at 10 am,” the caption to the video reads. The video was shared on June 22 and it has collected over 5 million views.

Take a look at the video here:

The video opens with a finger pointing towards the door of the Apple store which is on the first floor. As per the caption on the clip, the store was said to open at 10 am, meanwhile, Apple enthusiasts can be seen standing in long lines right from the door of the store to the entrance of the ground floor. The person taking the video shows the aerial view of the people standing for hours.

Customers were reportedly invited to participate in a special Apple series event called “Jom Discover,” to mark the store’s debut. Customers could snap images on their iPhones with Smashpop, watch a live performance by musical group De Fam, learn how to draw ideas on their iPads, create on their Macs with Internet sensation Adam Lobo, and much more during the event. This could have been one of the primary reasons why Apple’s faithful fans had to wait in long lines for hours.

Meanwhile, the comment section of the video had a lot to say.

A user wrote, “I’m not gonna wait in that line to get the exact same phone only reason I’m getting a new one is because the battery last longer. They design the batteries to only last for two years.”

Another jokingly commented, “Tell me you’re stupid without telling me you’re stupid.”

Many criticised the people standing in long queues and called them ‘crazy’ while few others agreed to be hardcore fans of Apple.
