The third wave of corona can knock in the country anytime. Even after this, overcrowding continues at the tourist spot. A large number of travelers are reaching many tourist states including Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. After the relaxation of Corona rules, till July this year, about 5 lakh tourists arrived in Himachal from all over the country. Most of the tourists come in Summer (March-June). According to people associated with the hotel industry, hotel bookings remain only 25 to 30 percent every year in July, but this year it was 70 to 100 percent.

The effect of travellers who came to visit Himachal from all over the country has started showing here. Active cases have doubled in Himachal Pradesh within the last 13 days. There were 953 active cases on July 28, which increased to 2,086 by August 9. So far more than 2 lakh cases of infection have come here and more than 3,500 people have died due to corona.

CM Jairam Thakur expressed concern
State Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has also become worried when the active cases doubled in 13 days. He said on Monday that there is a record increase in the cases of infection in Himachal. The matter will be discussed in the cabinet meeting. We do not know how the situation is going to be in the coming days.

The Prime Minister had said – the third wave will not come on its own
On July 13, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to the Chief Ministers of the northeastern states. It was attended by the Chief Ministers of Assam, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Tripura and Nagaland. During this, Modi expressed concern over the third wave.

He had said that it is not right for a huge crowd to gather in the hill station, market without masks and ignoring the protocol. This is a matter of concern for us. He had said that some people speak with tight chest that they want to enjoy before the third wave arrives. People have to understand that the third wave will not come on its own.
