PM Modi claimed that the Congress party, along with the JMM, is training its members in what he termed the “Congress School of Corruption”
Slamming Congress and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday accused the ruling coalition of graft and alleged mistreatment of Adivasi leader Champai Soren, who joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) last month.
Speaking at a public rally here, Modi claimed that the Congress party, along with the JMM, is training its members in what he termed the “Congress School of Corruption.” He said the way the former JMM leader was removed from his position as the Jharkhand CM hurt the poor and Adivasis in the state. The prime minister vowed that the people of the state would respond to this injustice.

‘Adivasi in Jharkhand’
“Was Champai Soren not an Adivasi? Did he not come from a poor family? But the way he was insulted to snatch the CM’s chair, every poor and Adivasi in Jharkhand is hurt because of it. Sita Soren was insulted and evicted from her own family. The people of Jharkhand will respond to this,” the prime minister was quoted as saying by ANI.
“There is only one most corrupt party in this country, and that is the Congress. There is only one most corrupt family, and that is the Congress family. The JMM is also getting training from the same school, and that school is the Congress School of Corruption,” he added.
On Sunday, Modi virtually launched various projects worth Rs 660 crore from Ranchi. These include laying the foundation stone for the Madhupur bypass line in Deoghar district and the Hazaribag town coaching depot. “The depot will help start several new trains and services,” Modi said.
He also dedicated to the nation doubling of the Kurkura-Kanaroan line, which is a part of the Bondamunda-Ranchi single-line section and the Rourkela-Gomoh route via Ranchi, Muri and Chandrapura stations. The project will help in increased mobility of goods and passenger traffic. Besides, the PM also launched four road-under-bridges (RUBs).
“The work of laying railway lines, doubling of these and developing modern facilities at railway stations are underway at a fast pace in Jharkhand,” Modi said. The prime minister is on a three-day visit to Jharkhand, Gujarat and Odisha beginning Sunday during which he is scheduled to lay the foundation stones and launch projects worth more than Rs 12,460 crore.
