Veteran star Chiranjeevi’s hit Telugu film “Waltair Veeraiya” is all set to premiere on Netflix on February 27, the streaming platform announced on Tuesday. The streamer shared the digital premiere date of the film on the Netflix India South Twitter page.
“The Mega Force Festival is on! Waltair Veeraiya is coming to Netflix on 27th February and we can’t keep calm,” read the tweet. The Telugu action movie stars Chiranjeevi as well as Ravi Teja, Shruti Haasan, Prakash Raj and Catherine Tresa in lead roles. Waltair Veeraiya, directed by Bobby Kolli, released across the cinema halls on January 13. It is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar.

As soon as the announcement of the film’s OTT premiere was shared, fans immediately hit the comments section with reactions. “Waiting to watch the second highest grosser South film of the year,” wrote a Twitter user. Another said, “Waiting to see another Chiranjeevi film.”

This is the second Chiranjeevi film to appear on Netflix, after the release of Godfather on Netflix last year. The streaming giant will be releasing many more Telugu titles this year after its theatrical run. Several titles will also be made available on the service in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. Some of the titles are Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film SSMB28, Ravi Teja’s Dhamaka, Amigos, starring Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Aashika Ranganath, Meter, starring Kiran Abbavaram, directed by Ramesh Kaduri and Nani’s Dussehra.
