New Delhi: The next mid-range 5G smartphone from handset maker Vivo will be Vivo V23e and it is likely to be launched a month later in February. This report comes a few days after Vivo confirmed that the Vivo V23 series will be knocking in India on January 5.
A report by 91Mobiles states that a mid-range Vivo V23e that could be priced between Rs 25,000 and Rs 30,000, will be introduced in India in February. The device was originally unveiled in November in Thailand as a budget device with 5G capabilities. The device was launched in Thailand in a single configuration.
Meanwhile, the Vivo V23 5G lineup will come with India’s first 50MP i autofocus dual selfie cameras. The higher priced V23 Pro is likely to be the thinnest smartphone with a curved edge screen. According to a previous report by GSMArena, the Vivo V23 series will include the vanilla Vivo V23 and Vivo V23 Pro and will feature a dual selfie camera setup.
According to an official promo aired by Vivo during a sports match, both Vivo V23 and Vivo V23 Pro will be launched in India soon. The promo also shows the device in a Sunshine Gold color variant.
Some of the specifications of the Vivo V23 series include Sunshine Gold color variant, triple rear camera setup leading 64MP primary sensor and “ultra-slim 3D curved display”. The vanilla Vivo V23 is likely to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chip, paired with 8GB of RAM and the Vivo V23 Pro could also be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset.
According to some previous rumors and leaks, the Vivo V23 series to be unveiled in India could be largely based on the Vivo S12 series which was recently unveiled at the company’s home turf China. The Vivo S12 Pro launched in China has a 108MP primary sensor on the rear camera. However, the Vivo V23 series smartphones may pack 64MP primary sensor.
