Vivek Agnihotri suffering from stress fracture after ignoring the injury, treatment started, fans hope for a speedy recovery

‘The Kashmir Files’ director Vivek Agnihotri has undergone knee surgery last year after torn cartilage. He informed his fans that he has now suffered a stress fracture due to an earlier injury.

On Monday, the director took to Twitter to share a picture of his knee being bandaged, he wrote, “Finally, knee healing begins. Completely ignored meniscus (cartilage tear) for 1.5 years due to #TheKashmirFiles. Keep limping It got worse. Now I have stress fracture too. Whenever I have to choose between body and work, I compromise with my body. This attitude has to change.”

Agnihotri also narrated how he tore his cartilage, talking about the incident he shared, saying, “It was that day – 24th December 2021. When I slipped and tore my cartilage. Doctors did it. Told me to rest it for 6-8 weeks. But as they say, the show must go on. The show went on without any interruption for the next 18 months but my knee broke. Today, I’m self-inflicted Whom do I blame for the ‘fracture’?”

Fans are worried about the director and have shared their thoughts and concerns with him through the comments section of his Twitter post.

Vivek’s film The Kashmir Files, a fictionalized representation of the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from Kashmir in 1990, was the first major film. Bollywood hit of the year. The film starred Anupam Kher, Mithun Charavarthi, Pallavi Joshi and Darshan Kumar and received a mixed bag of reviews. However, critics praised the compelling performances by the cast.

Agnihotri made her Bollywood debut with the remake of the Hollywood film ‘The Usual Suspects’ and named her version as ‘Chocolate’. He received the National Award for Best Screenplay-Dialogue for ‘The Tashkent Files’ which released in 2019. The director told that he has further ventured to make a film titled ‘The Delhi Files’, not much is known about the film yet.

Vivek and actor-producer Pallavi Joshi, who are known to be the visionary duo, recently came back from their ‘Humanity Tour’, which was scheduled from May 28 to June 28.
