The makers of Vishnu Unnikrishnan-starrer Kuri has released the trailer of the film and fans have showered it with immense love and support. Unnikrishnan will be playing the role of a police officer for the first time in the film. Touted as a suspense thriller, Kuri is scheduled to hit the screens on July 8. Written and directed by KR Praveen, the film has been shot in the vicinity of Vandiperiyar area of Idukki.
Apart from Unnikrishnan, Kuri’s cast includes actors like Surabhi Lakshmi, Vinod Thomas, Sagar Surya, Pramod Velayanad, Chala Pali, Vishnu Govindan and Aditi Ravi in pivotal roles. Surbhi Lakshmi will be essaying the role of Betsy in this suspense thriller, which will give the actress ample space to reveal her acting skills.
The anticipation for Kuri is high among the audience and the trailer has only raised the expectations while promising an interesting suspense film. The trailer of Kuri was released on YouTube channel SatyamVideos. Fans flooded the comment section praising the trailer as well as the actors. One fan wrote, “The plot looks promising,” while another said, “Nice trailer, looks like a good quality movie.” Others supported Unnikrishnan, saying they can’t wait to see the film.

Meanwhile, Unnikrishnan’s previous outing was with the Malayalam film Randu where he played the lead role, Vava. The actor was praised for bringing charm, innocence and honesty to his character. The thought-provoking satire became a hit with the audience as well as the critics.
Apart from Kuri, Unnikrishnan has several ambitious films in the pipeline including Eyal, Sabash Chandra Bose, Shalamon, Anuradha Crime No. 59/2019, and Marathakam.
