Jonny Bairstow played a brilliant innings as he counter-attacked with a scintillating century on the third day at Edgbaston. The Yorkshire batsman had a poor day as he failed to connect against the likes of Mohammed Shami. Then Kohli started sledging Bairstow, who did not respond to his words. Instead, he pushed his anger through his bat. India on the back foot.
Meanwhile, many cricketers felt that Kohli had unnecessarily hit the needle.
One of them was former India captain Virender Sehwag who has followed Kohli closely. Though he tweeted in fun, many of Kohli’s fans followed him and slammed the explosive opener in a derogatory manner. Also, Sehwag was sporty in replying to one of them which was a bit polite. Others were abusive as can be seen in these tweets.

It was a session where Bairstow abandoned his cautious demeanor from Saturday to embrace the aggressive avatar associated with him under the newly-invented buzzball influence of England.
