The first impression of Ranveer Singh starrer ’83’ on India’s winning journey in the 1983 World Cup strikes a chord with both cricket and Bollywood lovers. Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has given his review of the film, and it is fair to say that he is incredibly pleased.

The 1983 World Cup victory remains arguably the greatest cricketing moment in the country’s history. The Kapil Dev-led Indian team was never considered one of the contenders to go ahead with, yet they stood up against extreme odds and reached the grandest stage of all.
