A video showing a python coiled around a scooter’s petrol tank has gone viral on social media. Although no one knows where or when it happened, bystanders speaking Malayalam believe it probably took place in Kerala, India.
Salihkt Mullambath uploaded the video to Instagram, where it quickly gained significant attention. Viewers were shocked and alarmed by the unexpected discovery of the snake.

At the beginning of the video, someone cautiously lifts the scooter’s seat using a long object, possibly a stick or branch. The footage reveals a snake coiled around the petrol tank of the scooter, showcasing its stealthy ability to find shelter within the vehicle.
The video on Instagram has amassed over 7 million views, prompting numerous users to comment on its surprising and shocking content.
A user remarked that the snake came to inspect whether the vehicle had a full tank of petrol.
Another user stated that this is an Indian rock python (Perum pambu) which is non-venomous.
