Some Sikh and Hindu organizations have come face to face on the anti-Khalistan march in Patiala. Hindu organizations were preparing to take out this march. At the same time, some Sikh organizations started opposing them. Due to this the atmosphere got so bad that stone pelting took place between the two sides. Meanwhile, the hand of the SHO got hurt. After this, the SSP fired in the air to handle the atmosphere. At present, the atmosphere here remains tense.

In fact, here the Shiv Sena had made preparations to burn an effigy against Khalistan. On knowing this, Khalistan supporters started protesting. There the police stopped them and sent them back. However, members of Sikh organizations reached the Kali Mata temple with swords. There was a lot of brick and stone going on between the two sides.

During this, when SHO Karanvir tried to stop the Sikh protesters, his hand got injured. After which SSP Nanak Singh reached the spot. He fired in the air to handle the situation. After this, efforts are being made to control the atmosphere. Hindu organization leader Harish Singla said that the Punjab Police and the Aam Aadmi Party government should take strict action against these people. On the other hand, Jaswinder Singh Rajpura said that Sikh organizations had appealed for many days that some organizations are spoiling the atmosphere against Sikh Raj. The administration should have arrested these people, so that the atmosphere does not get spoiled.

During this some news started circulating that Sikh protesters cut off the hand of the SHO. However, the DC of Patiala denied this and said that it is baseless. He asked not to spread such rumours.

Patiala Range IG Rakesh Agarwal said that the situation is now under control. Somebody had spread a rumour, due to which there was a rift between the two sides. There is also a rumor about cutting off the hand of the SHO. Efforts are being made to calm the situation completely. He said the police had to fire in the air to handle the situation on the spot.
