Vinayaka Chaturthi Vrat 2022: Vinayaka Chaturthi is celebrated every month on the Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha. As the name suggests, this day is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. On this auspicious day, devotees observe a fast and worship Lord Ganesha to remove obstacles in life.

It is believed that worshiping Lord Ganesha on this auspicious day brings happiness and prosperity in a person’s life. On Vinayaka Chaturthi, devotees also recite Ganesh aarti and Chalisa for a special virtue. Chaturthi fast is said to be one of the most fruitful fasts in Hinduism.

CHATURTHI VRAT 2022: PUJA MUHURAT

Vinayaka Chaturthi falls on Friday, June 3, in the Jyeshtha month of the Hindu Vedic calendar. Chaturthi Tithi will start at 12:17 am on 3rd June and will be effective till 02:41 am on 4th June. Day, Ganesh Puja is conducted in the afternoon. The auspicious time to worship Ganesha is from 10:56 am to 01:43 pm on 3rd June.

CHATURTHI VRAT 2022: PUJA VIDHI

Start your day by waking up early in the morning and take a bath before sunrise. Wear clean clothes. Now, take an idol of Lord Ganesha and decorate it with fresh flowers and Dhruva grass. Worship the Lord by reciting Ganesh Aarti and lighting a lamp and offering sweets, flowers, sandalwood to the Lord. Start the fast after offering Arghya to the Sun. Avoid eating anything spicy and salty during the fast.

Chaturthi Vrat 2022: Fasting Rituals

After performing Madhyana Puja you can have fruits, milk, juices and other fasting foods. Do not consume onion, garlic, non-vegetarian food, tobacco and alcohol on this day. End the fast by making prasad of modak and distribute it among others.
