Madikeri: Dairy farmers in many villages of Kodagu are in limbo for five years without a single vet at veterinary centers.
Seven villages in seven centers – Shirangala, Hebbale, Torenuru, Kudige, Kudumangaluru, Segehosuru and aluvar Which has 40 sub villages in the last five years despite several appeals.
Milk Producer Societies are actively functioning in Torenuru, Hebbale, Shirangala. Aluwara Siddalingpur, Kudumangaluru and Chikkathuru villages with the active support of the villagers. They have hundreds of cows in these villages. In case of health issues or for regular medical check-up of the cows, farmers have to hire vehicles to transport the cows. Kushalnagar Or Somwarpet Taluk Headquarters which is a financial burden.
Villagers have once again submitted a memorandum MLA And asked the concerned officials to solve the problem at the earliest.
