The Delhi government on Wednesday appointed Vikas Kumar as the Managing Director of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). An order issued by the Delhi government’s transport department said Kumar, who is director (operations) in the corporation, will hold the post for a period of five years.
“The Government of the NCT of Delhi has appointed Vikas Kumar as the Managing Director of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited in accordance with Article 130 of the Memorandum and Association of DMRC Limited for a period of five years with effect from 1st April,” the order said. said.
The order said that Kumar’s appointment as DMRC’s Managing Director was approved by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
