People in the queue were coming one by one and applying tilak to them. The Chief Minister was also blessing the people by applying tilak. This process of Tilakotsav continued for about an hour.

The traditional Tilakotsav program was organized in the Tilak Hall of Gorakhnath Temple. Bhajan-Kirtan was also organised. During this, the yogis, mahants, priests, priests associated with the Peeth took blessings from Gorakshpeethdhishwar in the midst of Mangal recitation. After that the householder disciples received blessings by doing tilak. This program of Tilakotsav lasted for one hour. The President of Uttar Pradesh Urdu Academy, Chaudhary Kaifulwada, like every year, this time also welcomed the Vijayadashami procession of Gorakshpeethdhishwar.
