We have learned that Veer Chopra passed away on 5th July. The producer got infected with the virus during his stay in Maldives. After two days, he landed in Mumbai and was taken to HN Reliance Hospital for 21 days. He was kept in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). He died on the 5th evening and was cremated on the 6th.
Veer Chopra played the role of script doctor on several Vidhu Vinod Chopra projects. For example, during the scripting of ‘Parinda’, when Vidhu shared the first draft with Veer, he liked the first half but didn’t like the second half, so acting on his suggestions, Vidhu Changed up the script and it made all the difference now a cult classic film.
Veer the sound designer’s husband Namita Nayak Chopra and actor’s father Abhay Chopra aka Vicky Chopra.
Vir also worked as the creative producer for the films like ‘Ferrari Ki Sawaari’, ‘Eklavya: The Royal Guard’, ‘Parineeta’, ‘Mission Kashmir’ and ‘Kareeb’.
