a video of SpiceJet plane collided with pole It has surfaced on social media at Delhi airport on Monday. Twitter user @prasanto today shared a 50-second video clip shot from inside the plane.
It can be seen in the video that the plane slowly backs up on the runway after hitting the pole, causing damage to both the plane and the pole. In the clip, a pre-flight announcement can be heard inside the plane which said that Captain Monica Khanna was in command. The pole bends upon impact after which the aircraft can be seen moving in the opposite direction, to prevent further damage.
In the video a child is looking out the window.

Sources said the collision took place when the Boeing 737-800 aircraft was moving from the passenger terminal to the runway.
He said that no passenger was injured and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has started a probe into the matter.
The flight was on its way to J, before its right wing collided with the pole, damaging the aileron – a hinged part at the trailing end of the wing that helps steer the aircraft.
The plane had to return to the bay and the passengers were transferred to another plane.
SpiceJet flight SG 160 was scheduled to operate between Delhi and Jammu on March 28, 2022, a SpiceJet spokesperson said in a statement.
“During the push back, the rear edge of the right wing came into close contact with a pole, causing damage to the ailerons. A replacement aircraft has been arranged to operate the flight,” he said.
