bollywood star Ranveer singh has once again given the internet some fodder for memes. No, it is not her eccentric fashion sense this time, nor anything strange that she said or did on Koffee With Karan. The actor recently appeared on the show ‘Ranveer Vs Wild with Bear Grylls’ and it was enough for netizens to spin some hilarious clips and photos.
The actor was on a Netflix special show to brave the Serbian jungle in search of a rare flower, which was being roasted by netizens after a video of Ranveer kissing Grylls went viral on the social media platform.
Several users on the internet expressed how Ranveer’s ultra-exciting personality made Bear Grylls uncomfortable in front of the camera. In the viral video, one can see Ranveer saying, “Hey Mere Mowgli (Oh My Mowgli), Hey Mere Tarzan (Oh My Tarzan)” as he pecks Bear Grylls’ cheek and neck in a strange way.
Pointing to the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ star’s behaviour, many on the internet called the act a “borderline attack”. Sharing the clip, a user wrote in his tweet, “There is a word called personal space.” I can see how much it has been violated.
While the clip is quite strange in its content, it has also sparked a meme fest with the creators having a field day on the internet courtesy of Ranveer’s antics.
However, the show has received mostly positive responses from the audience. On July 9, Ranveer thanked all his fans for liking the show. He said, “I personally thought it was great and I am really happy with how it landed and is being received so well by the audience. Yes, it was an experiment for me and I am really happy about it. I was unsure if it wouldn’t work. To be honest, the good guys at Netflix and Banijay were a lot more confident than me. But when we went out and we shot it and I saw the results, I was like wow, Even I was thoroughly entertained by it.”
“I remember reacting instinctively across the room telling Banijay and the Netflix teams that it’s there because it’s all novel. It’s got humour, emotion, adventure, mystery, romance, lots of flavor and To add to this; the audience is participating in the journey. I am really happy that the experiment which was meant for me has worked out so well.” Ranveer said.
He further shared his experience of working with ‘Jungle King’ Bear Grylls and said, “My first thought was how great it would be to go into the jungle, something I had never done before. I am so grateful that this With tha Bear Grylls who is the king of the jungle. He is the ultimate master of the survival game. There is so much to learn from him. It is not an experience, and the show is nothing without Bear.”
