Vicky Kaushal recalled an instance from his wedding when Katrina Kaif’s brother was caught sunbathing.
Despite keeping their wedding plans under wraps, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif’s nuptials couldn’t escape the relentless Mumbai paparazzi, who swarmed their Rajasthan venue back in 2021. In a recent promotional chat for his film ‘Bad Newz,’ Vicky fondly reminisced about this covert celebration. His “favourite moment” turned out to be the first leaked photo from the event, which perfectly captured the joyous mood he had envisioned and even brought a smile to his face.
Speaking on Tanmay Bhat’s YouTube channel, Vicky elaborated, “The paparazzi and media were everywhere. They had climbed onto the terraces of neighboring villages, armed with telephoto lenses, trying to get a glimpse of everything.”
Vicky then reminisced about the first leaked photo from their wedding that took the internet by storm. “The first photo that they got was of one of Katrina’s brothers who was visiting Rajasthan for the first time from the UK, sunbathing in trunks,” he revealed with a laugh.
The actor added, “Usse sur chhid gaya. Maine kaha ab yeh set ho gaya. Yeh best hai (That set the tone. I said now it’s good. This is great.)”
Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal, like many, finds it difficult to select the perfect gift for his wife, actress Katrina Kaif. In a recent interview, Vicky admitted that he is “horrible” at choosing gifts for her, but revealed that Katrina’s passion for art has inspired him to learn more about it.
During an appearance on Raj Shamani’s podcast, Vicky discussed his struggles with gift-giving. “I haven’t cracked this game yet. Some people are really good at gifting, but Katrina isn’t into materialistic things. For me, gifting is about making a joke, and I often run out of jokes and thoughtful ideas. I am really horrible at it,” he admitted.
However, Vicky did manage to find a gift that resonated with Katrina. He shared that the best gift he has ever given her was a painting. “She is really into art, so I gifted her a painting. It was the first time I bought a painting in my life. I had no idea about art, but now I love it because it’s my favourite wall in the house. The painting is by GR Iranna. This is the first time I’m mentioning his name because, apart from MF Hussain, I didn’t know any artists,” Vicky explained.
Vicky and Katrina, who dated for two years before tying the knot in December 2021, have always been in the spotlight. Recently, rumours about Katrina’s pregnancy surfaced, but Vicky put an end to the speculation during a promotional event for his upcoming film “Bad Newz.” He firmly denied the rumours, saying, “For now, please enjoy ‘Bad Newz.’ When the time is right, we won’t shy away from announcing the pregnancy news.” The couple’s relationship has often been the subject of public interest, but they have managed to keep their personal lives relatively private.
