The Indian Air Force has successfully conducted a rescue operation of a tracker trapped in the rocky trench Brahma Giri in Nandi Hills, Karnataka. The 19-year-old tracker had slipped and fell into a 300-feet deep gorge, where he got stuck in the rocks, injuring him. He sought help from the police from his phone. When the police could not help, the help of the Air Force was taken.

Airlift done by Mi17 helicopter
The Air Force used its Mi17 helicopter for the rescue operation. The helicopter landing on the hill was difficult. So the flight gunner of the Mi17 was delivered to the tracker. The gunner helped airlift the tracker from the helicopter. The young man has been admitted to the hospital. His condition is stable.

Delhi’s youth engineering student
Police said that the tracker, who hails from Delhi, is an engineering student. He is pursuing engineering from a college in Bangalore. He had chosen Nandi Hills for trekking, but fell into the gorge due to loss of balance. Lucky that life was saved. He was rescued 300 feet below.
