BJP MP Varun Gandhi on Saturday shared a video clip, which shows a man setting ablaze after his futile attempts to sell his paddy crop, and demanded a rethink on agriculture policy. Gandhi shared the video of the man on Twitter. “Farmer Samodh Singh of Uttar Pradesh was making rounds of mandis to sell paddy crop for the last 15 days. When the paddy was not sold, he himself set fire to it in despair. Where has this system brought farmers? The need of the hour is to rethink our agriculture policy. .
