Looks like the South connection is going to be a long draw in Bollywood. As per a report in ETimes, Varun Dhawan, who awaits the release of his upcoming film Bhediya, is in talks with South director Atlee for a film.
A source close to the entertainment portal shared, “Varun has met Atlee and they will soon be working together on a Hindi remake of a South film. There is a good chance that the film could be Vijay and Samantha starrer Theri. ,
Well, this is not the first time that news of Varun being approached for the remake of Theri is doing the rounds online. A few years back, there were rumors of Varun being roped in for the remake of Theri. And now, it looks like the plan is finally coming together.
Talking about his schedule, Atlee is currently working on his film with Shah Rukh Khan. Varun Dhawan, on the other hand, has several projects lined up for the next two years. In 2022, the actor will be seen in two films – Jug Jug Jio and Bhideya.
Coming to the bhediya, Varun Dhawan took to Instagram earlier in the day and shared a throwback picture with his wife Natasha Dalal celebrating Holi with the team of ‘bhediya’.
In the photo, Varun is seen dressed as he maintains a fully grown beard, as his face is smeared with colored powder. The actor is seen wearing a black T-shirt and loose-fitting blue pajamas as he stands next to his life partner Natasha is seen wearing a pistachio green top and blue pants, as she smiles and poses for the lens. With them, we see the team of the wolf as they all have their faces painted with colors and they all pose for the lens with a smile.
Taking to the captions, Varun wrote, “BHEDIYA ki Pheli HOLI. Arunachal Pradesh – zero.”
In Bhediya, Varun Dhawan will be seen sharing screen space for the first time with Kriti Sanon in the Amar Kaushik directorial. The shooting of the upcoming comedy horror was completed in July last year and is due for a theatrical release in November 2022.
