Varun Dhawan Says ‘Parallel Cinema Movement Has Been Started By Harshvardhan Kapoor’

Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor are busy promoting their film ‘Jug Jug Jio’ these days. During an event, the Student of the Year actor was heard crediting Anil Kapoor’s son Harshvardhan for starting parallel cinema these days. The conversation ensued with the actors discussing various topics on which the films are being made. Kiara had mentioned that while her father loves her films like Jugjug Jio, he does not understand her Guilty films.

Neetu also mentioned about her son Ranbir Kapoor’s film ‘Rajneeti’. Talking about the same, Varun said that Anil should be asked about this as the parallel cinema movement has been started by his actor-son Harshvardhan. Varun was heard saying, “Actually, the parallel cinema movement has been started by Harsh.”

He later added, “As an actor who is senior to Harsh, I must say I am really happy with his last few films. I think he is picking up really interesting films and has built his own base. I loved him in Rey and especially, I thought he was amazing in AK vs AK, I honestly thought he stole the show.”

Harshvardhan Kapoor made his acting debut with the film Mirzya. After this he was seen in Bhavesh Joshi Superhero and web series Ray. Thar will be her first film with Anil Kapoor. Earlier, he shared screen space with Anil, but it was for a brief moment in Vikramaditya Motwani’s AK Vs AK.

Meanwhile, Varun is currently gearing up for the release of Jagjag Jio with Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. After this he will be seen in Bhediya opposite Kriti Sanon. They also have Bawal in the pipeline.
