Varun Dhawan expresses disappointment over closure of cinema halls in Maharashtra – Times of India

As per the new restrictions, all essential and non-essential shops (including shopping malls) have reopened Maharashtra. However, cinema theatres, drama theaters and multiplexes (independent and inside malls) are still open in the state. Looks like Varun is not happy with this decision.

On Wednesday, he took to the photo-sharing application and posted a video showing Mumbai’s traffic jams.

Along with the clip, he wrote, “Everything is open but theaters are closed?”

Speaking about the theatrical release of films, Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Bellbottom’ has become the first major Hindi film to release in Indian cinemas after the deadly second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately this film has not released in Maharashtra.

Earlier in the day, Akshay thanked the actor Ajay Devgn to send your best wishes to ‘Bell bottom’ The team said that they hope that theaters in Maharashtra will reopen soon.

Akshay wrote on his Instagram story, “Thank you so much brother (Ajay), a lot of hugs means I pray Maharashtra opens soon and you too can see it, would love to know your thoughts.”

Apart from Akshay, Lara Dutta Bhupathi, Vaani KapoorHuma S Qureshi is also a part of ‘Bellbottom’.
