The rift between Karthik Aryan and Karan Johar is not hidden from anyone. Kartik and Janhvi Kapoor Were supposed to work in KJo’s Dostana 2 and the shooting of the film had already started. But Dharma Productions released an official statement, stating that the film will be remade. Neither Dharma Productions nor Karthik has given any further information in this matter.
Since then Karan and Kartik have kept a distance. Kartik was not even invited to Karan’s 50th birthday bash last month. However, for the first time since their fall, Kartik and Karan shared a stage at an award function thanking Varun Dhawan. In a video shared by Pinkvilla on social media, Varun calls Kartik on stage to dance on a track from Karan’s upcoming production, Jugjug Jio. “Karthik, come, you can dance to Dharma movie song,” Varun Dhawan can be heard saying.
Anil Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Ayushmann Khurrana and Maniesh Paul among others can also be seen in the video. Soon Karan Johar also joins the stage and the entire team dances to the song of Punjab. However, Karthik refrains from dancing.
Last month, Kartik also opened up about his differences with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Asked if such an incident might affect him as he has no background in the film industry, Kartik said, “I just focus on my work. That’s all I would like to say on this. Look at my (film) line-up (now).
On the work front, Kartik Aaryan is currently enjoying the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. He will next be seen in Rohit Dhawan’s Shehzada opposite Kriti Sanon. He also has Captain India, Freddy, and Sajid Nadiadwala’s next title in his kitty.
