Thane: The COVID-19 vaccination drive in Thane for people above 18 years of age will start at 59 centers on Saturday.
Eligible beneficiary can get 1st or 2nd job of any one of these covaxin Or Cowishield At these centres, Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) informed.
covaxin
The dose of Covaxin will only be available on Saturday at two vaccination centers for everyone over the age of 18. People who have received their first dose of vaccine on July 15 are now eligible for their second dose.
Walk-in session with 100 doses will be conducted at TMC Post COVID Center from 2 PM to 4 PM, only for citizens waiting for their second shot.
In TMC Thane Global Hub 2, 1st and 2nd doses of Covaxin will be given to 18+ age group from 2 PM to 4 PM after online slot booking.
Cowishield
The Kovidshield vaccine will be administered in the remaining 57 immunization centers of the city. Those who had taken their first dose by May 20 are now eligible to take their second dose.
For International Travellers:
Special walk-in sessions have been organized at TMC Post COVID Center 1 and TMC Kausa HC (ATC) 1 for those students who are ready to travel abroad for higher studies and going out for professional work, who are due for their second job.
Both the centers will function with 100-100 doses from 11 am to 1 pm.
Drive-in vaccinations:
A drive-in inoculation session will be held at TMC Drive-in at Raymond Company.
Everyone over the age of 18 can get their first or second dose of Covishield here, with 300 doses from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Vaccination on wheels:
Of the total 46 centers that administer Covishield, four centers classified as ‘Vaccination on Wheels’ will operate from 11 am to 3 pm, each with 300 doses.
The first and second doses of Kovishield are given to people above 45 years of age through the civic body’s mobile immunization initiative at TMC School No. 62, TMC Balwadi (Kolshet), TMC School No. 120, and Marathi School No. 80 (Sabegaon).
Preference will be given to beneficiaries with disabilities, pregnant women, lactating mothers and residents of Thane city at all COVID-19 vaccination centres.
